By: Juliet Cohen
Bruise, also called a contusion or ecchymosis. A bruise is a common skin injury that results in a discoloration of the skin. Blood from damaged blood vessels deep beneath the skin collects near the surface of the skin. Bruises often induce pain but are not normally dangerous. Sometimes bruises can be serious, leading to other more life threatening forms of hematoma, or can be associated with serious injuries, including fractures and internal bleeding. Bruising depends on several things, such as how tough a person’s skin tissue is, whether a person has certain diseases or conditions, or whether a person’s taking certain medications.

Also, blood vessels tend to become fragile as people get older, which is why elderly people tend to bruise more easily. Minor bruises may be easily recognized, in people with light skin color, by their characteristic blue or purple appearance in the days following the injury. Vigorous exercise may also cause bruises due to bringing about small tears in blood vessels walls. Bruises also develop easily in the elderly, because the skin and blood vessels have a tendency to become thinner and more fragile with aging, and there is an increased use of medications that interfere with the blood clotting system.

The use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories may lead to increased bruising. Aspirin, antidepressants, asthma medications, and cortisone medications also have this effect. The anti-clotting medications also known as blood thinners, especially the drug Warfarin may be the cause of particularly severe bruising. There are many signs and symptoms of bruise. A fresh bruise may actually be reddish. It will then turn blue or dark purple within a few hours, then yellow or green after a few days as it heals. A bruise is commonly tender, and sometimes even painful for the first few days, but the pain usually goes away as the color fades.

The treatment for a bruise is most effective acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen may be taken for pain as instructed on the bottle. Avoid aspirin because aspirin slows the blood from clotting and may, in fact, prolong the bleeding. Vitamin K cream can be applied directly to the site of injury. Astringent herbs such as witch hazel, Hamamelis virginiana, can be used. This will tighten the tissues and therefore diminish the bruising. Vitamin K promotes normal clotting in the blood, and therefore may help reduce the tendency to bruise easily. Grape seed extract (as directed on label)-protects skin tissues.

Nondietary sources of lutein are available in solid dosage forms, primarily capsules.

Source

Lutein was first isolated from egg yolks. It may also be isolated from netties or algae, but most commercial lutein is isolated from the leaves of the Aztec marigold (Tagetes creeta) or other marigolds (Tagetes spp. L.).

Chemical components

Lutein is a single-chemical entity (beta, epsilon-carotene-3,3′-diol). It is classified as a hydroxycarotenoid and is closely related chemically, botanically, and physiologically to the xanthophyll zeaxanthin.

Actions

The literature on lutein is quite extensive, encompassing both laboratory and clinical data. Physiologically, lutein may playa dietary role by serving as an antioxidant and a component of cellular membranes, contributing to membrane structure and function. Research using cell culture techniques and animal models has demonstrated anticarcinogenic and antimutagenic activity. Specifically, lutein has been shown to inhibit colon carcinogenesis in both mice and rats and mammary tumors in mice.

Although human data are less conclusive, an inverse relationship has been demonstrated between lutein and cancers of the breast, lung, liver prostate and kidney .

A similar inverse relationship has been found between lutein and the incidence of coronary heart disease cerebrovascular accident cholestatic hepatic diseaseneural tube defects diabetes mellitus and cognitive impairment. The specific action thought to be responsible for these effects is the antioxidant activity exhibited by lutein, a feature common to most carotenoids.

Lutein is one of the primary pigments in the human retina. It is present in higher concentrations in people with dark eyes and decreases in retinal concentration as the eyes become lighter, with blue-eyed individuals having the lowest concentration. Antioxidant activity in the eye is thought to be responsible for the protection offered by lutein in response to short wavelength visible light. It has also been strongly supported in the literature that lutein decreases age-related macular degeneration and cataract formation . A second mechanism that may contribute to the retinal protective effects of lutein is its ability to bind to retinal tubulin, thus increasing the retinal concentration of lutein. Other demonstrated actions of lutein include immunomodulatory activity (lymphocyte proliferation and antibody production in older animals) and enhanced gap junctional communication, both of which may contribute to Its anti carcinogenic activity, as well as gastroprotective effects (decreases development of acid-induced mucosal lesions).

Reported Uses

The majority of lay literature proposes the benefits of lutein in the prevention or slowing of age-related macular degeneration and its subsequent blindness. Although the evidence is strong for potential benefits in decreasing cancer risk, it is the ophthalmic activity that has historically been promoted. Raised public awareness of the potential protective effects with certain cancers is gaining acceptance and increasing the use of lutein-containing products.

Now AIDS is completely curable. Though it is unbelievable it is true. Siddha medical system is one of the familiar ancient medical systems of India challenging to cure the terrible disease AIDS. Based on the Siddha medical system so many traditional medical practitioners of Tamilnadu, India were being tried to identify the suitable potential drug to cure AIDS.

But Dr. S.K. Balasubramaniam, Traditional Siddha Medical Practitioner in Erode, Tamilnadu, India was invented a drug namely VAIROLINN which is extracted from some rare herbals. It is highly potential to cure AIDS 100% without any residue.

From the beginning about 120 HIV affected patients were being treated with our drug Vairolinn. Most of the patients were completely recovered from this terrible disease within Six months of treatment Period. Only few of them need up to nine months of treatment to recover completely depending upon their HIV Viral Load.

For example, one patient namely Mr. V. Sunderajan, Age 32 (in 1999) Male having HIV Viral load initially about 2, 70,000 copies/ml has taken our Herbal medicine Vairolinn regularly. After 70 days of treatment his viral load decreased into 1, 05,000 copies/ml (as 03.08.1999, 61.11% improvement) and subsequently decreased in to 506 copies/ml (99.81% Improvement) after 160 days of treatment and continued our treatment up to 200 days. The patient is still alive in good Health Condition. After the completion of Eight year Mr. V. Sunderajan was subjected to follow up analysis, an unbelievable and ever achieved result as “HIV Viral load could not be ascertained” obtained. It simply conformed that our Herbal Medicine is completely cure the HIV/AIDS without any residue.

Though it is a great achievement, we could not able to market the said medicine directly due lack of financial background. Therefore we decide to sell the product with complete technical details or to market the medicine with the collaboration of others who have sufficient marketing potential.

Test reports of few patients and reports of various studied already involved are also published in our website www.crpharmaa.com . Kindly visit our website to go through the reports.

If you have any idea to market our product, kindly contact us. We are always ready to clarify your doubts if any raised and also ready to prove the efficiency of drug Vairolinn.

Please fell free to contact “ crpharmaa@gmail.com “ to clarify your doubts.

He is a Traditional Siddha Medical Practioner based on Erode, Tamilnadu, India. He is very much interested to invent a potential drug to cure AIDS and almost achieved his target.

Multi-ingredient preparations: Anthraxiviore, Burdock Blend Extract, Burdock Root, Burdock Sarsaparilla Compound

Common Forms

Available as capsules (425 mg, 475 mg, cream for topical administration, dried root, liquid extract, tea, and tincture (made from crushed seeds).

Source

The crude drug is extracted from the dried root of the great burdock, Arctium lappa, or common burdock, Arctium minus. The seeds and leaves of burdock plants have also been used in folk medicine. Burdock is a large biennial herb grown in China, Europe, and the United States. The plant can be identified in the spring by the round heads of its purple flowers.

Chemical Components

The principal component of burdock root is a carbohydrate, inulin, which can account for up to 50% of the total plant mass. Additional components include anthroquinone glycosides; nonhydroxy acids; a plant hormone, gamma-guanidino-n-butyric acid; polyacetylenes; polyphenolic acids; tannins; and volatile acids. Seeds contain chlorogenic acid, fixed oils, a germacranolide, a glycoside (arctiin), Iignans, and other compounds. Some commercial teas that contain burdock have been prone to contamination with atropine.

Actions

Burdock is claimed to exert antimicrobial, antipyretic, diaphoretic, and diuretic activities. Uterine stimulation has been reported in in vivo studies. In animal studies, burdock extracts have reportedly demonstrated strong hypoglycemic activity and antagonism of platelet activating factor .

Various in vitro and animal studies have found that burdock possesses antimutagenic effects .

Reported Uses

Burdock is claimed to be useful for a wide range of ailments, including arthritis; cystitis; gout; hemorrhoids; lumbar pain; rheumatism; sciatica; skin disorders, such as acne, canker sores, dry skin, eczema, and psoriasis; and ulcers. It has also been used as a blood purifier. In the Far East, burdock is used to treat cancer, impotence, and sterility. Some studies have reported the use of burdock in the treatment of kidney stones and HIV infection.

Dosage

Burdock is taken internally as a tea or used externally as a compress.

Dried root: 2 to 6 g P.O. t.i.d.

Liquid extract (1:1 in 25% alcohol): 2 to 8 ml P.O. t.i.d.

Tea: I cup P.O. t.i.d. or q.i.d.

Tincture (1:10 in 45% alcohol): 8 to 12 ml P.O. t.i.d.

Adverse Reactions

Skin: allergic dermatitis.

Other: allergic reactions.

Interactions

Insulin, oral antidiabetics: May increase hypoglycemic effects. Avoid administration with burdock.

Contraindications And Precautions

Burdock is contraindicated during pregnancy-especially in the first trimester-because of the effects of anthraquinone glycosides found in the roots of burdock plants. It is also contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to the herb or related plant species.

Special Considerations

Allergic reactions have been demonstrated in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae/Compositae family. Other members of this family include chrysanthemum, daisy, mangold, and ragweed.

Alert Poisoning caused by atropine contamination of some commercial burdock teas can occur. Signs and symptoms of toxicity include blurred vision, dilated pupils, and rapid pulse rate. Treatment, if needed, includes physostigmine reversal .

Inform the patient that burdock products may be significantly contaminated with atropine and that toxicity has resulted from this contamination.

Inform the diabetic patient that burdock may increase the risk of hypoglycemia and that insulin or oral antidiabetic drug doses may need to be reduced.

Inform the patient that few scientific data evaluate burdock’s effects in humans.

Caution women to avoid using burdock during pregnancy or when breast-feeding.

Points of Interest

Burdock root is commonly eaten in Asia, less often in the United States.

Commentary

Animal and in vitro studies suggest that burdock use might offer therapeutic benefits. Clinical trials are needed to support these claims. Also, data regarding the safety and efficacy of burdock are lacking.

Uncover the truth from ayurvedic treatment for conditions for caring you and your family.

By: Thomas
Hemorrhoids (piles) and varicose veins are common conditions caused by blood collecting in veins and not returning properly to the heart for recycling usually as a result of a weakness in valves in the veins but also because of an obstruction. Constipation (causing piles ) and pregnancy (causing varicose veins) are the usual culprits, though obesity, inactivity, the habitual use of laxatives and long periods of standing have also been blamed. Veins become “lumpy” and visible as well as painful and itchy. Piles also bleed frequently.

Click To Get Rid Of Hemorrhoids In Less Than 48 Hours

An estimated 50 percent of adults are affected by hemorrhoids at some time in their lives. They often occur during pregnancy (but usually disappear after childbirth), and as a result of constipation. Symptoms of the condition are swollen veins in and around the anus, itching, and pain, and sometimes bleeding when motions are passed. The veins can remain inside the anus or protrude from it.

Treatment

Hot baths and compresses applied to the anus will help ease pain. Keep the anal area clean by washing with hot water after bowel movements.

Naturopathy “Sitz” baths – or hot and cold bathing – is recommended and ice packs can help relieve discomfort. Sitting in the water for five to ten minutes is recommended for piles.

Diet and Nutrition Follow a wholefood diet to reduce constipation and ease bowel movements. Drink plenty of water. Take a large spoonful of linseed seeds with water once a day (not at mealtimes).

Daily supplements of vitamin C (500mg), E (400iu), rutin, and lecithin can help both plies and varicose veins. Increased fiber (bran, oats, cereals, whole wheat bread, linseed/flaxseed, peas, and beans), fluid intake, and exercise can also help prevent constipation and relieve piles. Raw beets are said to help varicose veins and also fruit as apricots, cherries, rosehips, blackberries, and buckwheat.

Herbal Medicine For piles apply ointments of pilewort, comfrey, horse chestnut, and witch hazel. Witch hazel is best for bleeding piles. An infusion of yarrow herb may be beneficial for its astringency and its influence on blood vessels. It is also good applied as a compress.

Consult a qualified practitioner/therapist for:

Aromatherapy

Essential oils such as cypress, juniper, peppermint, or camomile, either applied directly or mixed into a warm bath, ease discomfort.

Homeopathy

A homeopath will prescribe according to the individual case, but Ratanhia 6c, Hamamelis 6c, Sepia 6c, and Sulfur 6c might be recommended. Hamamelis, or peony ointment, or suppositories are often usedl for acute cases. Hamamelis is particularly good for a bruised feeling with bleeding. Aloes, Nux vomica, Aesculus, and Pulsatilla are other possible forms of remedy.

Yoga Positions such ,as “the inverted corpse” (lie with the legs at ,45 degrees to a wall for three minutes every day) can help, and so can yoga breathing exercises.

Massage For varicose veins, gentle massage on the legs, toward the heart, can help. Massage can also help to improve circulation.

By: Alvaro Castillo
Anxiety and worry are facts of life. Most people will feel worried if they are about to take an exam, start a new job, or have an operation. The anxiety normally goes away after the stressful event, especially if all has gone well. But sometimes anxious feelings feed on themselves and start to inter¬fere with everyday life.

Anxiety can often lead to other symptoms, such as insomnia or panic. Symptoms of anxiety include difficulty in concentrating, irritability, tense muscles, aches and pains, nausea, dizziness, breathlessness, sleep problems, dry mouth, decreased or increased appetite.

Diet and Nutrition Caffeine, alcohol, and smoking can all contribute to anxiety states and so are best avoided. Magnesium supplements may be helpful. Aromatherapy Lavender and camomile oils are relaxing and calming. Use them in a relaxing bath or in a burner to scent a room.

Visualization Practice imagining situations where you feel peaceful and relaxed and “go there” when you start to feel anxious. Relaxation tapes and classes can help you learn how to do this.

Bach Flower Remedies Agrimony, Rock Rose, and Red Chestnut are possible choices.

Counseling and Talking Treatments Behavioral psychotherapy aims to help you unlearn problem behavior. Cognitive therapy can help you recognize and change patterns of thinking that reinforce your anxiety

Homeopathy A homeopath will tailor remedies to the individual case, but Aconite and Argentum nit are recommended for the physical effects of anxiety. Herbal Medicine A herbalist may prescribe sedatives such as passiflora, camomile, or valerian as infusions.

Insomnia

Insomnia is a common symptom of anxiety and stress. If the underlying problems are dealt with, the insomnia usually clears up. Aromatherapy A bath with a few drops of essential oil of meadowsweet and orange blossom will soothe.

Relaxation Therapies Yoga and meditation can help you to relax and free your mind from worry and stress. Herbal Medicine Infusions of lime blossom, hops, or Californian poppy all have a sedative effect.

Consult a practitioner/therapist for:Homeopathy Depending on the case, a homeopath may choose from Aconite for insomnia caused by fear, Arnica for the overtired, Coffea for the racing mind, Phosphorus for nightmares that wake you, Ignatia for the fear that you will never sleep again, and Nux vomica for insomnia caused by heavy drinking.

Alvaro Castillo has been helping people with their sleep for 5 years with very positive results. For more information go to www.mynighttimehealth.com

By: SHIV
Neem oil is generally light to dark brown, bitter and has a rather strong odour that is said to combine the odours of peanut and garlic. It comprises mainly triglycerides and large amounts of triterpenoid compounds, which are responsible for the bitter taste. It is hydrophobic in nature and in order to emulsify it in water for application purposes, it must be formulated with appropriate surfactants.

Neem oil also contains steroids (campesterol, beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol) and a plethora of triterpenoids of which Azadirachtin is the most well known and studied. The Azadirachtin content of Neem Oil varies from 300ppm to over 2000ppm depending on the quality of the neem seeds crushed.

Traditional Uses of Neem Oil

The oil is derived by crushing the seeds. Like the leaves, Neem oil is used to treat skin problems. It is especially effective in treating head lice and dandruff, and creates a purifying effect when used in aromatherapy.

Fortunately, you can enjoy the benefits of Neem oil, bark and leaves even if you don’t have a Neem tree growing in your front yard! Here are some simple ways to use Neem for your teeth, skin and hair.

Neem Oil Lice Protector

Combine 10% Neem oil with 90% coconut or sesame oil. Apply to the hair and massage the oil into the scalp. Comb the oil through to make sure it is evenly distributed. Leave it on overnight. In the morning wash your hair with Herbal Shampoo. Repeat five to six times, on alternate days, until the lice have disappeared.

By: M Roger
Listening to the Plants – Nature is Talking to us.

The shamans say that plants connect us with nature because they take their nourishment directly from the earth, as well as the sun’s rays, the air, and water. They allow us to know and recognize ourselves. A shaman must know this and must love his people to heal them. Here are just a few of the plant healers.

Jergon Sacha (Dracontium peruviuanum)

My first exposure to this plant came about quite accidentally, when one day walking through the rainforest studying the properties of the plants, the maestro Javier queried why I always walked around with a machete. I jokingly replied “it’s against anacondas!”. He paused in thought for a moment and beckoned for me to follow him, a few minutes later we came across this tall stemmed plant. He proceeded to cut it down and then whip me around the body paying attention to my legs and the soles of my feet.. He then said “no more problems, you are protected against snakes”. I asked him why this plant was used in this way, and he indicated the pattern on the stem which looks identical to the snakes in the forest. Later as I started to investigate this plant even more, I discovered some interesting correspondences; this is a plant which is widely used as an antidote against snake bite venom in the Amazon.

This is accordance with the ‘doctrine of signatures’ concept. This doctrine is at the heart of homeopathy, folk medicine, and plant shamanism. The doctrine was revealed by the great alchemist and physician Paracelus who lived in the 16th Century. The underlying principle was that the healing properties of the plant are not only in the outer ‘physical’ form, but also in their inner or spiritual nature. The Doctrine of Signatures holds that this inner nature can be revealed by it’s outer physical form or signatures. This plant is a clear demonstration of the outer form indicating the inner qualities. It’s use is directly related to it’s physical appearance, the patterns on the tall stem closely resembles the skin patterns of the highly venomous pit viper known as ‘Bushmaster’ or Jararaca which is indigenous to the Amazon.

The large tuber of the plant is an well known and highly effective antidote for the bite of venomous snakes. The tuber is chopped up, and immersed in cold water and then drunk. Also the chopped tuber is placed in a banana leaf and used as a poultice which is wrapped around the bite area. These procedures are repeated every few hours. Of course the deal here is that it works, and as it not possible to store anti-venom vaccines in the rainforest without refrigeration, this plant has exceptional life-saving importance.

Mocura / Mucura Petivera Alliacea. This plant can be taken orally or used in floral baths to raise energy, or take you out of a saladera (a run of bad luck, inertia, sense of not living to the full). Gives mental strength and you can feel its effects as also with Ajo Sacha, both are varieties of ‘false’ garlic and have a penetrating aroma.

One of it’s qualities is that on a personal psychological level it can boost one’s strength. For example it is considered good in countering shyness, and can strengthen one’s own sense of personal value and authority. One of it’s properties is to help people overcome ‘irrational’ fears & fearful memories

Medicinal properties include asthma, bronchitis, reduction of fat and cholesterol. This plant grows widely in the lower Amazon, and it is used widely in purification (floral baths) .

Piñon Colorado Jatropha gossypifoilio

Has short lived effect after drinking but helps lucid dreaming later on when you go to bed. Can be used as a planta maestra and it is a plant that maestros can take when being during their initiation. Can also take with tobacco.

The plant’s properties on the physical level relate to problems such as, burns, swellings, intestinal parasites , Insect bites and stings, vaginal infections, and bronchitis. It is possible to take the resin which is much stronger but toxic if too much ingested. The resin can be applied directly to the skin.

Piri-piri, (Cyperaceae). Native people throughout the Amazon cultivate numerous varieties of medicinal sedges to treat a wide range of health problems, the native peoples for example, use sedge roots to treat headaches, fevers, cramps, dysentery and wounds as well as to ease childbirth. Special sedge varieties are cultivated by Shipiba women to improve their skill weaving and to protect their babies from illness.

Teresa a Shipiba craftswoman who joins us on our Amazon Retreats, told me that it is customary when the girls are very young for their mothers to squeeze a few drops of the ‘piri piri’ seed sap into their eyes in order to give their daughters the ability to have visions of the designs that she will make throughout her life.

The men cultivate special sedges to improve their hunting. Since the plant is used for such a wide range of conditions, it was once dismissed as being mere superstition. Pharmacological research has revealed the presence of ergot alkaloids, which are known to have diverse effects on the body from stimulation of the nervous system to constriction of blood vessels. These alkaloids are responsible for the wide range of medicinal uses. Apparently the ergot alkaloids come not from the plant itself but from a fungus that infects the plant.

Chanca piedra “Stone Breaker” (Phyllanthus Niruri)

This is a hybrid name “chanca” meaning “to break” in Quechua and “piedra” meaning “stone” in Spanish. This herb from the Amazon has been used by the indigenous peoples of the Rainforest for generations as an effective remedy to eliminate gall, and kidney stones. The plant has demonstrated its effectiveness against many illnesses including, kidney problems , urinary problems, colic, dysentery, jaundice and numerous other conditions. This herb has become widely used in South America as the herbal remedy for gall and kidney stones, and can typically be bought in capsule or leaf form from many stores. This plant is used only for its pharmaceutical properties, and is not a planta maestra. As a note, this plant is also starting to become known in Western Medical circles, as when I brought some back for my mother to help her with her kidney stones, her doctor was apparently familiar with this herb, but he still didn’t want her to use it due to possible contra-indications with the prescribed pharmaceutical medicine.

Reflections.

On reflection plant medicine is totally different than pharmaceutical medication which only affects one whilst it is being taken; these kinds of plant medicines seem to have a permanent effect in some way metaphorical or otherwise altering one’s consciousness or “DNA”. Paracelus, is still a source of inspiration to all those who work with the healing properties of herbs, and the plants.

One of the great revelations that we can experience in working with the plant spirit or consciousness is that we are not separate from the natural world. In our culture we perceive ourselves to be separate beings with our minds firmly embedded within our physical being (typically our head). The plants can show you that this way of being is an illusion and that we are all connected, all of us and everything else is a discrete element in the great universal field of consciousness or spirit.

Same propertise are also found in Homeopathic Remedies, as Shasa says!

By: Peter sams
Infectious Diseases is an open access journal publishing original peer-reviewed research articles in all aspects of the prevention, diagnosis and management of infectious and sexually transmitted diseases in humans, as well as related molecular genetics, path physiology, and epidemiology.

Infectious diseases kill more people worldwide than any other single cause. Infectious diseases are caused by germs. Germs are tiny living things that are found everywhere – in air, soil and water. You can get infected by touching, eating, drinking or breathing something that contains a germ. Germs can also spread through animal and insect bites, kissing and sexual contact. Vaccines, proper hand washing and medicines can help prevent infections.

Anaerobic infections are typically supportive, causing abscess formation and tissue necrosis, often the result of thrombophlebitis and/or gas formation. Many anaerobes produce enzymes that devitalize tissue as well as some of the most potent paralytic toxins known. Clues to the presence of anaerobic infection include gas formation in tissue, foul feculent odors, and abscess formation or tissue necrosis.

Over the centuries, man has gone from a simple diet consisting of meats, fruits, vegetables, and grains, to a diet that often consists of foods rich in fats, oils, and complex carbohydrates. Nutritional excess and nutritional deficiency have become problems in today’s society – both contributing to several chronic diseases.

Sore Throat

Sore throat is a symptom of many medical disorders. Infections cause the majority of sore throats and are contagious. Infections are caused either by viruses such as the flu, the common cold, mononucleosis, or by bacteria such as strep, mycoplasma, or hemophilus.

Treatment

Diet and Nutrition Give plenty of liquids, especially if the child is vomiting. Avoid dairy products and large meals.

Homeopathy Drosera rotundifolia or Aconitum napelius will help, especially at night.

Consult a qualified practitioner/therapist for:

Herbal Medicine White horehound, mullein flower, thyme, and lavender may be prescribed.

Chickenpox

Chickenpox is caused by a virus called varicella zostervaricella zoster. People who get the virus often develop a rash of spots that look like blisters all over their bodies. The blisters are small and sit on an area of red skin that can be anywhere from the size of a pencil eraser to the size of a dime.

Treatment

Naturopathy Give plenty of fresh orange juice, lemon tea, or lemon juice sweetened with honey. Sponge the spots with tepid water. Three tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate added to a bath of lukewarm water should help ease itching.

Homeopathy Rhus tox. will soothe the irritation: Antimonium tart. can help heal the scabs.

Herbal Medicine An infusion of elderflower sponged onto the spot, should relieve itching. For fever, offer yarrow, lime blossom, or meadowsweet herbal tea.

German Measles (Rubella) Rubella is an acute viral disease whose symptoms include a slight pink rash of tiny spots, starting behind the ears or on the face and spreading down the body, and possibly watery eyes and swollen glands.

Getting a cold There is a simple herbal remedy that can help stop it in its tracks — fast. The roots and sometimes the flowers of Echinacea, a beautiful member of the sunflower family also known as a purple coneflower, make an important medicine used widely to treat colds, flu, bronchitis, and all types of infections.
